Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery

Job Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients and their families throughout the childbirth process.
Assess and monitor maternal and fetal status during labor and delivery, ensuring safety and efficacy.
Administer medications and intravenous therapies as prescribed by the physician.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Educate patients and families about the labor and delivery process, including pain management options and postpartum recovery.
Perform emergency interventions as needed and participate in critical care management.
Document patient information accurately and maintain compliance with medical and legal standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and safe working environment.

Essential Qualifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of South Carolina or ability to obtain licensure.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient and family interaction.

Desired Experience:

Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in Labor & Delivery or a similar high-acuity patient care setting preferred.
Experience with fetal monitoring and labor management techniques.
Exposure to electronic medical records (EMR) and other healthcare technologies is a plus.
