**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler, where you will be part of one of three different assembly departments. We have six openings, one in each department. Choose between our 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday, or our 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM, Monday to Thursday, which offers a 15% shift differential. **Responsibilities** + Perform assembly tasks in Magnet Assembly, Gear Motor, or Medical Assembler roles, depending on the department. + Utilize hand and power tools to assemble brakes and clutches used in medical devices, farm equipment, and government applications. + Read and interpret blueprints to ensure precise assembly of components. + Work with epoxy machines, especially in Magnet Assembly. + Engage in electronic or gear motor assembly as part of career advancement opportunities. **Essential Skills** + 1 year of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly experience. + Proficiency in using hand tools (calipers, micrometers) and power tools. + Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints. + Mechanical inclination, such as hobby auto mechanics or medical assemblers transitioning careers. + Ability to work independently and maintain focus on tasks. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in sub assembly, light mechanical assembly, and soldering. + Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform mechanical repairs. + Hands-on experience in electronic and mechanical assembly. **Why Work Here?** We offer comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, quarterly bonuses after your first year, and flexible spending accounts. Expect to work in a well-conditioned space while wearing gloves during assembly to protect against oils and adhesives. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shakopee, MN. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.70 - $26.45/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
