Job Description

At McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality, we strive to create the world's most memorable experiences, blending food, service, and design seamlessly under the leadership of Liz Lambert, Larry McGuire, and Tom Moorman. Our refined hospitality is achieved through storytelling, attention to detail, and exceptional dining and retail experiences. MML is continuously expanding, managing, and owning hotels, such as the Hotel Saint Vincent in New Orleans, with new projects in Texas, Colorado, and California currently under development. We also provide F&B consultation for the Austin Proper Hotel, overseeing three restaurants, in-room dining, and banquets throughout the property. MML owns and operates all its properties and only takes on projects that align with our vision and values.

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a Graphic Design Intern who is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about hospitality. The Graphic Design Intern will be tasked with various work assignments and activities structured to enable them to gain the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform in a creative setting.

What you will do:

  • Provide entry-level professional services, under the supervision of the Studio Director, as appropriate to the day-to-day operating objectives of the Art & Branding Department.
  • Assist in the design and production of a variety of marketing collateral, including print ads, digital ads, posters, flyers, brochures, and digital signage.
  • Provide regular updates to existing collateral.
  • Help ensure visual consistency of the brand across various touch points.
  • Participate in projects and programs designed to develop skills and expertise appropriate to the needs of the organization.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of department projects and initiatives within the area of expertise.
  • Interact directly with colleagues, clientele, and/or other internal or external constituencies in the planning of assignments and the resolution of day-to-day operational problems.
  • Receive guidance, training, and mentoring from professional personnel in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.
  • Work independently and within a team to meet established deadlines.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent typography and layout skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Illustration skills considered a plus
  • Must possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License

Position details:

  • 3 months with possibility of extending
  • 10-20 hours per week
  • On-site, applicants must be local
