About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on VP of Finance to take over our currently outsourced finance function and rebuild it in-house. This role focuses on day-to-day financial operations , budgeting, reporting, projections, and managing vendor and finance partner relationships. This is not a strategic CFO role , but rather a controller-level executive who has led finance teams and can build and lead a new department from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Bring all finance operations in-house and build a high-performing team (bookkeeper, data entry, etc.)
Manage daily financial functions including AR/AP, month-end close, payroll, and vendor payments
Prepare and maintain budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial projections
Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal stakeholders and external finance partners
Oversee compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness
Collaborate with the COO and CEO on operational cost management and financial priorities
Drive timely execution of deliverables and enforce accountability to financial deadlines
Qualifications
Finance and accounting experience, including team leadership
Experience overseeing or rebuilding in-house finance operations
Strong budgeting, forecasting, and reporting capabilities
Ability to recruit, manage, and motivate a finance team
Industry experience in manufacturing is a plus; healthcare or similar regulated environments are also acceptable
Must be process-driven, deadline-oriented, and highly accountable
