About the Team:
The Production Mapping Software Team plays a pivotal role in the software development of mapping solutions to support AV/ADAS at General Motors. This team is responsible for delivering integrated and tested software for various GM features, including Super Cruise and Adaptive Cruise Control.
About The Role:
This role will be working on software for GM Production Mapping Software team. Areas of focus may include implementing, testing, and/or integration embedded or test software.
What You'll Do:
Architect, design, implement,integrateand test robust embedded software solutions for ADAS systems. This includes the following:
Write andmaintaincode in C++ orPython
Analyze and improve reliability and efficiency.
Create andmaintaintechnical documentation
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system testing.
Required Qualification:
Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program andin the process of obtainingaBachelors or Master'sdegree in computer science or a related field.
Able to workfulltime,40 hoursper week.
C++ or Python software skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Embedded software experience/knowledge
Intent to return todegree-programafter the completion of the internship.
Graduating between December 2026 and June 2027.
Compensation:
The monthly salary range for this role is $7,300 - $7,800 per month
GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to eligible students selected for the 2026 Student Program.
