Responsibilities

• Supervise daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely and accurate processing of orders.
• Manage and train a team of shipping and receiving staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse personnel to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
• Prepare and maintain shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading and packing lists.
• Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to shipments and deliveries in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
• Conduct regular audits of shipping and receiving operations to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in shipping and receiving, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes, inventory management, and logistics software.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in a warehouse setting.
