$23-25 plus tips (9-10 dollars extra)

Hello, from Harry's! We are currently hiring a pastry chef for our two restaurants and growing event business. The pastry chef will be responsible for the menu development and pastry production. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and works well under pressure. All candidates will possess has a diverse skill set in baking and can accommodate an array of seasonally focused menus. This person has a willingness to learn and demonstrates a sense of urgency.

This is a full time role that will be working out of our catering kitchen at Melrose Market. Full health insurance package available after 90 days.

Qualifications:

1. Basic understanding of professional baking with at least two years of previous pastry experience.
   
2. Must have the requisite food handling permit and a thorough knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling practices.
   
3. Must be able to read, understand, and execute food preparation recipes.
   
4. Ability to work effectively on a team and independently.
   
5. Possess a strong commitment to quality service and dedication to furthering culinary knowledge.
   
6. Ability to work weekends and early mornings
   
7. Must be proficient or willing to learn R365, costing and ordering systems.
   
8. Willingness to keep our space tidy and do routine cleaning and organizing tasks.
