**Now Hiring Mechanical Assembler in York, PA** **First Shift Opportunity** **Pay: $18.40/hr** **Job Description** As a Mechanical Assembler, also known as a Finishing Assembly or Finishing Associate, you will be responsible for the final assembly and packaging of HVAC units. This includes assembling larger components and completing various tasks to finish the process. This role operates on the 1st Shift from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. **Responsibilities** + Perform general assembly for the Production Line, including all phases of commercial HVAC product production from initial to final assembly and packaging. + Learn to prepare work by studying assembly instructions and parts lists with assistance from fellow assemblers. + Assist with positioning and assembling parts and subassemblies according to measurements. + Learn the specifications verification process. + Keep equipment operational and maintain a safe and clean work environment. + Follow verbal and written instructions. + Work on subassemblies components or the final assembly of HVAC products. + Assist in other departments and areas as required to meet company and production goals. + Perform other duties as assigned by management. **Essential Skills** + Ability to work with various machines and tools. + Attention to detail. + Ability to perform repetitive tasks. + Prior mechanical assembly experience, minimum of 6 months preferred. + Experience using various hand tools, air tools, and measuring tools. + Ability to stand for long periods. + Capability to lift over 40 pounds. + Proficiency in using measuring tools, drills, and saws. + Good basic math skills. + Ability to follow all safety procedures and company guidelines. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. + Schematic/Drawing Reading skills. + Mechanical Assembly Skills. + Ability to learn operations at multiple workstations. + Ability to be trained in other areas. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy working in a clean, climate-controlled facility with growth opportunities. Building 1 handles pre-assembly with sheet metal fabrication, welding, and electrical panel building. Building 2 focuses on assembly of HVAC units, brazing, and electrical wiring. Building 3 is for finishing, testing, closing, and shipping of the units. The facility employs 140 people and houses engineering and administrative support. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.40 - $20.00/hr.
