POSITION TITLE: Facility Custodian STATUS: Non-exempt - *Must be able to work weekends and early morning shift schedule REPORTS TO: Custodian Supervisor / Building Grounds and Maintenance Manager OBJECTIVE: To provide janitorial service to ensure a safe and clean facility. GENERAL PHILOSOPHY: To build customer loyalty through service excellence in a work environment where the teammates enjoy their work because they have accepted responsibility for the success of the company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in the upkeep and repair of Banyan offices, departments and hangars. Assist in the upkeep and repair of Banyans tenants offices. Maintain grounds, landscaping, mowing, etc. of Banyan property. Communicate with employees in regard to problems within the Banyan facility and tenants (lights burnt out, problem in the rest rooms, etc.) Assist with various jobs that may be requested by the General Maintenance Supervisor (ie., pick up checks, deliver items to the post office, pick up parts or office equipment, etc.) Communicate with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions. Conform with all safety rules and wears/uses all appropriate safety equipment. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: To be fully proficient in this position, employees must acquire the following through on-the-job training: A knowledge of Banyans customers, A knowledge of the care and operation of ground equipment, golf carts, Banyan vehicles, etc. A knowledge of Banyans landscaping equipment and materials required, A knowledge of Banyans employees and the positions they hold, JOB SPECIFICATIONS: A complete knowledge of the operation and care of all cleaning equipment and office equipment, A knowledge of Ft. Lauderdales Executive Airport, including the location of hangars, tie-downs, fuel farm, and all other FBOs located at the airport, Knowledge of the location of rags, cords, cleaning supplies, vacuum cleaners, garbage dumpsters, carpets, supplies, keys, clipboards, fans, and other equipment. Knowledge of the operation of hangar lights, night lights, and procedures for locking the facility, aircraft, and general security, Knowledge of the location of keys for metal cabinets, closets, and doors, Working knowledge, knowledge of the location, purpose, and use of: 1. Time clock 2. Two-way radios 3.Cleaning equipment Knowledge of the departments of the company and their function, JOB SPECIFICATIONS: This position requires the ability to read and write. Requires a valid drivers license and a good driving record.
