Are you a safety-conscious driver looking for a stable, full-time career with great pay, benefits, and the chance to be home every night? LeMay Centralia, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a reliable and motivated Class A Roll Off Driver to join our team in **Centralia, WA.**
The schedule is Monday-Friday, from 5 am-3 pm (pending routes), around 45-55 hours a week.
The starting pay **$27-29.50/hr** with annual pay increases and bonus opportunities.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Safely operate a garbage truck on designated routes to collect solid waste. Waste experience is preferred but not required.
+ Read route sheets and service each customer listed or assigned by the dispatcher.
+ Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
+ Perform a physically demanding job, including loading and unloading, sometimes without assistance.
+ Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift and load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
+ Interact courteously with customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
+ Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
+ Requires extensive physical activity, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds.
+ Work environment involves exposure to physical risks, such as moving mechanical parts, requiring basic safety precautions.
+ Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including frequent wet and/or humid environments, as well as fumes and vibrations.
**Minimum Job Requirements:**
+ Valid Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement
+ Tractor-Trailer Experience Preferred
+ Ability to work holidays
+ Clean driving record (please bring a copy of your MVR to the in-person interview)
+ Ability to operate 10-, 13-, and 18-speed transmissions (preferred, not required)
+ Minimum 1 year of relevant driving experience
+ Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred
+ **Safety-Sensitive - YES (Drug Test Required)**
